Terms of Use

SHOUTR is for adults aged 18 and over. We may use an age-assurance or verification service to confirm eligibility. If you cannot confirm you are 18+, you may not use the service. Accounts found to belong to minors are closed.

Using SHOUTR requires an account. Sign-in uses an authentication identifier such as a phone number confirmed with a one-time code, or another sign-in method we make available from time to time. Your phone number is used to authenticate you and to secure your account; it is not shown publicly to other users and is not part of your profile.

You are responsible for your account and for the activity on it. Keep your login secure and keep control of the device or number used to sign in. The information you give us — including anything used for age assurance — must be accurate. One person, one account; do not share or sell accounts.

• LIVE — one shared real-time conversation. Anything you post there is public to the people it is shown to.
• Discover — people around you, shown with the intentions they choose to display.
• Private messaging — one-to-one conversations, which may expire when inactive.
• Flash — an interaction that always requires a message; it can never be empty.
• Mystery — you can blur yourself; only you decide when to reveal.
• WILD — an optional 18+ mode inside Discover, visible only between people who entered it.
• Private Album — private media released only with the owner's explicit approval.
• My Vault — personal storage visible only to you.

SHOUTR is location-based. The area used for Discover and LIVE is adaptive: it may expand when there is little activity around you and contract when there is a lot, so you may see people and content farther away, and that area is not necessarily limited by city or national borders. What you see is selected by relevance, activity and density, and is not a guarantee that anyone specific is nearby. Your exact coordinates are not shown to other users; distances and location context shown in the app are approximate.

Public LIVE content and private messages are different things. Treat anything posted in LIVE as public. Features may change while SHOUTR develops. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Entering WILD is opt-in and can be left at any time. Being 18+ does not mean you consent to WILD, and entering WILD does not mean you consent to receiving explicit messages or media. Consent is specific, per person and per moment. Sending unsolicited explicit content is a violation of these Terms.

You keep ownership of what you post. To operate SHOUTR we need a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit and display your content to the people you direct it to, and to process it for safety and moderation. This licence exists to run the service — not to market you — and ends when the content is removed, except where limited retention is required as described in the Privacy Policy.

• Harassment, threats, stalking, hate speech or incitement.
• Impersonation or misrepresenting who you are.
• Any involvement of minors; child sexual abuse material is reported to authorities.
• Sharing intimate content of another person without their consent.
• Sharing, screenshotting or redistributing another user's private media.
• Sexual services for payment, trafficking or exploitation of any kind.
• Illegal content, illegal goods, or illegal activity.
• Spam, scams, bots, scraping or automated access.
• Circumventing blocks, bans or safety features.

Anyone can block or report. Reports may include limited relevant content and context for review. Depending on severity we may remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate an account, and where required notify authorities. We aim to tell you when a decision affects your account and to give you a way to contact us about it. See Community & Safety.

SHOUTR is free to use. Paid products are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, and do not renew automatically. The current catalog includes time-limited Wristbands (24 hours, 7 days and 30 days) and FLASH packs (3, 10 and 25 paid credits).

The price, currency, duration or credit grant, included benefits and any applicable taxes are shown before you confirm a purchase in SHOUTR, on the web and/or in the applicable app store. Depending on the purchase channel, its billing rules may apply. Wristband time and paid FLASH credits are applied according to the product shown at confirmation.

SHOUTR may introduce, change or discontinue paid products, features, benefits and pricing. Changes do not retroactively reduce an active purchased entitlement, except where required by law or necessary for security, safety or legal compliance. Nothing here limits your mandatory rights under EU and Finnish consumer law.

Payment never overrides another user's consent. A Wristband or FLASH pack does not unlock another user's Private Album, a profile reveal, private media, sexual consent or another user's participation in WILD, and paying does not entitle you to anyone's attention.

Refunds are handled according to applicable law and the relevant app-store or payment-provider process, alongside your mandatory EU consumer rights.

You can stop using SHOUTR and delete your account at any time, in the app or via Delete Your Account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or creates risk for other users. An active Wristband is not refunded where termination follows a serious breach, to the extent permitted by law.

SHOUTR, the SHOUTR name, logo, Flash symbol and the app itself belong to GOOMIO Oy. You may not copy, reverse engineer or reuse them without permission.

SHOUTR connects you with other people; we do not screen users and we are not responsible for what they say or do, online or offline. Meet safely and use your judgement. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory consumer rights.

These Terms are governed by Finnish law, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws applicable to you. Consumers may also use the consumer dispute bodies available to them, and we encourage you to contact shoutr@goomio.fi first so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

We may update these Terms as SHOUTR develops. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page before they take effect.
